Azam Quran – Audio and Translation is a multilingual WordPress plugin for displaying the Holy Quran on the front end with shortcode support. It supports Persian, English, and Arabic interface labels based on the active WordPress locale.

Available shortcodes:

[quran] – Displays the main Quran reader.
[quran_random_ayah] – Displays one random ayah on each page refresh.

Downloaded Quran text/audio packages are stored in the WordPress uploads directory under /wp-content/uploads/azam-quran-audio-translation/. They are not stored inside the plugin folder, so they are not overwritten by normal plugin updates.

External services

This plugin connects to Tamizi.com only when a site administrator clicks the data loading button in the plugin admin page. The service is used to download Quran data, Persian translation files, audio files, and related assets. These files are large and cannot be bundled directly inside the WordPress.org plugin package, so they are downloaded separately by the administrator.

The plugin requests the following files:

No visitor information, form data, WordPress user data, site content, or personal data is intentionally sent by the plugin. The site server makes a standard HTTPS download request, which may include normal technical request information such as the requesting server IP address, user agent, and basic HTTP headers.

Installation

Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/azam-quran-audio-translation/, or install the ZIP file from the WordPress Plugins screen.
Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
Open the Azam Quran admin page and use the data loading button. The downloaded files will be stored in /wp-content/uploads/azam-quran-audio-translation/.
Add [quran] to a post or page.
Add [quran_random_ayah] to display a random ayah.

FAQ

Does this plugin need an external API?: No external API is required for front-end Quran display after the local files are available. The admin page includes a loader that downloads Quran data and audio packages from the author website and extracts them into the WordPress uploads directory.
Which shortcodes are available?: Use [quran] for the main Quran reader and [quran_random_ayah] for a random ayah block.
Where are downloaded files stored?: Downloaded Quran files are stored in /wp-content/uploads/azam-quran-audio-translation/, not in the plugin folder.
