AttoSocial is a modern, lightweight social sharing block for WordPress, engineered from the ground up for the Block Editor and Full Site Editing (FSE).

Unlike legacy social sharing plugins that load heavy JavaScript libraries, external icon web fonts, and third-party tracking scripts, AttoSocial delivers a fast, privacy-first sharing experience with a featherlight frontend footprint.

Built for the Block Editor

• A parent AttoSocial Share block holds individual network buttons, so you can add, remove and reorder them like any other blocks.
• Works in posts, pages, patterns, and block theme templates and template parts.
• Uses core block tools for alignment, layout, spacing, borders, colors and typography.

Style once, adjust where needed

• Three style presets to start from: Default (icon in the network’s brand color), Outline, and Solid.
• Set icon size, icon padding, icon border, border radius, icon color and background on the parent block, and every button inherits them.
• Override color, background, size, border, padding or typography on any single button.
• Optionally show network names next to the icons, with their own typography settings.

Sensible sharing defaults

• The shared link and title are picked automatically: the current post or page on single views, the archive on archive pages, and the search results on search pages.
• Choose whether links open in a new tab. New-tab links use rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow".
• When labels are hidden, each button keeps screen-reader text and an accessible label such as “Share on Facebook”.

External services

AttoSocial renders direct web share links to third-party services. On page load, this plugin makes zero external HTTP requests, loads no external scripts or trackers, and sets no cookies.

When a site visitor clicks a share button, their browser opens that service’s web share URL in a new tab to compose a post. Public page metadata (the page URL and title; for Pinterest, the featured image URL) is passed in the URL parameters only upon explicit user click.

Note: The Email share button uses a standard local mailto: link that opens the visitor’s default email application and does not transmit data to any third-party external service.
