AnyBacklink is a free backlink checker and outbound link report for WordPress, from the team behind AnyBacklink, the free link swap platform for site owners.
Outbound links report
See every link in your published posts and pages that points to another website, marked dofollow, nofollow, sponsored or UGC, with the post it sits in. Find out how many sites you pass ranking value to, spot paid links that should be marked sponsored, and filter the list by type. The scan runs entirely inside your site.
Backlink checker
Paste the pages that should link to you and check each one:
- Is the link to your site still there?
- Is it dofollow or nofollow?
- Is it in the main content, or tucked away in a footer, menu or sidebar?
- What is the anchor text?
- Has the page been deleted, or hidden from Google with noindex?

Missing or nofollow links? AnyBacklink matches your site with other verified sites on the same topics so you can swap links directly with their owners. No cold emails, no paying for links, no brokers. Swaps are private and nothing is listed publicly.
Dashboard widget
A small Backlinks box on your dashboard shows your outbound link totals, with one click to check your backlinks.
External services
This plugin connects to the AnyBacklink link checker at https://anybacklink.com to check whether a page links to your site.
It is only used on the Check backlinks screen, and only when you click Check backlinks. For each page you entered it sends the page address and the domain you entered as your site. It does not send anything else about your site, your users or your content. The checker then reads that public page and returns whether it links to your site.
The Outbound links report and the dashboard widget do not connect to any service.

Installation
- Install the plugin from Plugins > Add New, or upload the folder to
/wp-content/plugins/. - Activate it.
- Go to Tools > AnyBacklink.
- Click Scan my site to see your outbound links, or open Check backlinks to check the links other sites give you.

Is it free?

Yes. The plugin, the backlink checker and AnyBacklink link swaps are all free.

Does the outbound link scan send my content anywhere?

No. It reads your published posts and pages inside WordPress and saves the result for a day. Nothing leaves your site.

Why does a check say “Could not check”?

Some sites block automated visits, and some addresses are mistyped. “Could not check” does not mean the link is missing. Try opening the page in your browser.

Why is a link I can see in my browser reported as missing?

The checker reads the page as it is sent from the server. Links added later by JavaScript, such as some widgets, are not seen.

How many posts does the scan cover?

Your 500 most recently updated posts and pages.

Does it slow down my site?

No. The plugin only runs in your admin area, and only when you use it.
