This plugin connects to the OpenRouter API to generate AI-powered summaries.

When a summary is generated, the plugin sends:

The post title
The post content
The selected AI model

No data is sent unless an administrator or authorized user requests a summary.

Installation

Upload the plugin to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress.
Go to Settings AISO Post Summary.
Enter your OpenRouter API Key.
Save the settings.
Add the shortcode:

[aiso_summary]

to any post or page.

This plugin is a great addition to my blog. It generates a clean and accurate AI summary the first time a post is processed. One feature I really appreciate is the built-in caching—once a summary is generated, it’s stored for 24 hours. If I generate the summary again within that period, it uses the cached version instead of making another AI request, which helps reduce API token usage and improves performance. Setup was simple, and everything worked as expected. Highly recommended!
