Plugin to change your default admin username ( with GUI to change all other admin names too ).
Tested on multisite
Will check for:
* Empty names
* Existing usernames
* Valid username ( no funky special characters )
As always -> make a backup first
- Upload directory
- Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
- Visit Plugins menu to change your admin name(s).
- I have a lot of questions and I want support where can I go?
http://pluginsupport.mijnpress.nl/ or drop me a tweet to notify me of your support topic over here.
I always check my tweets, so mention my name with @ramonfincken and your problem.
I dont know what people are crying about? It works excellent. I just installed and activated the plugin, went to the menu and instead of my regular admin-nick I just changed to a new nick and pressed update. Voila.. Done in 10 sec…
Did not work for me: “The new one cannot be stored due to non existing mysql_real_escape_string function”. I see others with this error in the Support section, from as long as six months ago, with no response.
Thanks for the plugin. I really wanted it to work though.
While logged in as super admin, clicking “Settings” beside the plugin name in the Plugins menu, it gives me this:
You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
It is one of those plugins that just works and then sits quietly until you need it again.
Really easy and useful plugin! THANKS FOR IT!
