  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Also the avatar from a previous theme is still in the browser tab

    Do you mean the favicon?

    ok,

I reset the plugins folder and still no change, any other ideas?

Try switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

I switched themes and still no change, no matter what theme I activate the favicon stays the same and my problem remains. Even when I completely removed the themes folder the favicon was still there with a blank web page.

If you’re using IE, delete any bookmarked pages for your site. Then ry going to another page (any page – google.com for example), clearing your browser cache and then going back to your site.

That was the problem, I was using Chrome and I switched over to IE and everything works. I will clear out all the bookmarks in Chrome and hopefully that fixes the issue…I like Chrome better than IE. Thanks for all the help!!
