Earlier I was looking at trying to add a loop which i managed to do.
I edited the index.php and it works fine.
However, it looks a bit boring.
Any way of automatically taking say the first few lines and posting the loop in a kind of last few posts+a small preview. Or a picture to go with the url.
Just a few random thoughts.

Okay UPDATE:
I edited the index.php and got everything looking how i wanted.
BUT!
it totally messed with the blog section. Whenever i clicked on a category or tag it just took you to the home page.
So i'm back to needing to implement a static front page and have the blog on another page - i tried but then /blogs said there was nothing to display!
