    Hi everyone,

    I’m new to the forums so first of all I’ll say hello 🙂

    Down to business. I’m using the Pixel theme for my website, and I’ve just validated the CSS against the W3C validator, and it’s come up with 28 errors.

    I’m confident with XHTML and CSS, and if I did web design for work, I’d make the time to go through it all and correct it. But I’m wondering if all the invalid CSS is due to plugins? If so, I’m not sure what to do.

    All the XHTML is valid.

    Any suggestions?

    well, some people (me for example) thoughts that valid xhtml/css code is for geeks 🙂 imo first code should looks good in as much browser as it can even if to be compatible with some browsers (ie) designer need to do something what is not compatible with standards

    Ok, fair enough, I’ll hold my hands up and say I’m a bit of a geek! Maybe I should just ignore this then, which is a shame, since I always make sure all websites I code are W3C valid.

    And are you sure you validated the CSS or the XHTML? The CSS validator is different than the XHTML one. Use the Options on the W3C validator page and tick “Show Source’, which will give you a good idea of where the XHTML errors are. Dsable your plugins one at a time to see if the invalid code is generated by one of them.

    I’m perfectly sure, I’ve thought of all that, and done it 😉

    The only plugin that seems to be giving errors is the Profile Pic plugin, which is a shame, since it’s a very useful plugin.
    The two validator links I’ve used are:

    Xhtml
    CSS Validator

    With the CSS Validator I’ve validated by address, and I’ve also validated by direct input.
