   Will a true user management system be ever available in WP?

   Something to export/import users with account data, details, and so on, useful when moving to a fresh new install, or for backup purposes...

   I'm trying to move users from one WP install to another one, and don't know how... :-(((

   Yeah, I could wish this too :(

   You can export the users tables from your database and import it, which should work, but that wont help you MERGE really :/
