threaded comment behavior

I am implementing brians threaded comments 15 and show/hide javascript into my site and I have an interesting glitch that I cannot figure out.

At first things look as if they are functioning correctly, but if you ‘show comments, ‘reply to this comment’,’cancel’ the reply, and then click ‘hide comments’, all of a sudden the form appears on top of my original post. Obviously I want the form to disappear when I click on ‘hide comments’.
If anyone can look at the site and give me any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Normally I can figure things out, but this has me stumped.
