I have been using this wordpress for over a year and all of a sudden today I get the following error when trying to visit the site:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/hynesigh/public_html/clients/nya/wp-content/themes/default/functions.php on line 231
Any ideas what could have happened?

oh dear - this is 6 months old with no answer, and it exactly (or nearly) describes my situation.
I just got this, navigating to the main page of my blog:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /hsphere/local/home/rockvill/tikvatisrael.org/blog/wp-content/themes/default/functions.php on line 407
truck808 - did you manage to fix it?
i'm due to download the latest update, so maybe that'll fix it!
