   anyone know if you can change the css counters facebook, Twitter and Google+?

   I'm not sure how, since the css page comes from the authors.

   I would change the appearance of the facebook, Twitter and Google + counters

   The appearance of counters you cant change, but you can change the appearance of the other icons
