   I am a bit new to WordPress to forgive me for my general lack of understanding.

   I'm trying to make the Sidebar consist only of Categories, as my mockup below helps illustrate

   I've been reading this post regarding the Page Of Posts

   But I'm still a bit confused as to how to make this work.

   Any help would be greatly appreciated

   Is your sidebar widget-ready? Have you tried simply adding the Categories widget in Admin/Appearance/Widgets?

   Esmi, Thanks. That would explain quite a bit!

   However, now what I don't quite understand is that in each new category that I created, it has a list of the other categories I had created in the post, as opposed to just listing the posts in the respective categories.
