   Hey guys,

   This has me pulling my hair out so I would appreciate any insights.

   I have PHP sessions to manage my user base. It's a custom login separate from WordPress. The user logs in, a unique id is generated and that along with the username is stored in the session.

   Now every single page on my site can recognize the session variable, except for my index page. When I re-activate my theme, then the index page recognizes it, but when I logout, every page recognizes it's gone, except the index page. Reactivate my theme, and all of a sudden it recognizes the session variables are empty as well.

   I'm at my wit's end, I have no idea how to proceed or how to fix this.

   Please help.

   This wasn't an issue prior to WP 2.6

   Hi Miqqy,

   It looks like you've succeeded in doing something I'm having trouble with. I would like to use the session info from the rest of my site in my wordpress blog, but for some reason the session is being cleared on the wordpress pages. I posted in the forums, but I've noticed that none of the postings on session issues (if you search the forums using the word 'session') have been replied to. Let me know if you have any advice for me,

   Frank provides a simple solution this problem on his blog: Session Fix

   Before I found his post, I was banging my head against the wall for 2 days as I tried to find a solution.
