    When visiting my website, I get the message of Malware in Chrome: postrocker.nl contains content from dovlatbegeiner.su, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.

    As seen in the picture below.

    Having the same problem. Going to do a clean install, but what I would like to know is how it got installed in the first place. Is it trough an exploit or did they manage to hijack my password somehow.

    @berrieg

    Looks like you have been blacklisted. This means that Google has scanned your site and because of the infection they have 'blacklisted' you.

    Based on this scan: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=postrocker.nl

    Its looks like you might have gotten your issue addressed. Sometimes this page is delayed so take a minute to submit it via webmaster tools and verify its not there.

    Sounds like you're taken care of though, let us know if not.

    Thanks

    Hi guys, thanks for the feedback! My webhost-company had a backup and put my site + files one week back. I adjusted the password in de wep-config file for ftpo and its eemed to work... Alas for me when I'm on the mainpage and click on a post, there's an error which I have to smooth out. Lot's of google and wordpress information to find and I hope it will work soon. Thanks again!

    That's great news!

    There are a number of things you can do to harden, some include changing your passwords, but be sure to also protect yourself from external and internal attacks. Clean out your serer of junk and it might be a good time to go through and check all your users, forcing a password reset.

    Last thing you want is a reinfection. There are also a number of things you can do with .htaccess to better protect yourself.

    Best of luck.

    Thans @Perezebox!

    I've installed 2 security plugins: Better WP Security and Login Lockdown. I'm not the kind that's able to alter the files on the server, so I hope this is enough. What I'm tired of is the spam n the "trackback" section. Is there a way to disable it?

    Cheers!

    @berrieg if you have moderation enabled you should be able to force it for an approval before it links back. That way you can capture it as SPAM before it posts. I'm trying to think if Akismet will handle SPAM trackbacks or not, can't remember. You might also want to use some kind of a application firewall.

    Akismet doesn't touch trackbacks. If you want to disable trackbacks altogether, uncheck Settings -> Discussion -> Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)
