I know this has been posted before a while back, but I've not seen any solution.
In a long post, if I use a quicktag, the cursor then resets to the start of the text box, right at the top.
It's no huge issue admittedly, but when inserting a series of links or tags, it gets annoying, and sometimes I resort to manually typing in the tags rather than using quicktags - which makes them redundant in longer entries.
I know I can change the textarea (I already have), but even so...
Anyone found a way to stop this cursor behaviour ?
1.2mingus, but it's happened on previous versions too.
I would like to second this motion and bring it up again for discussion, and maybe even a vote. All in favor...
Shadow joins the queue.
It is very annoying - picky maybe - but annoying all the same.
Damn right it is :)
/me casts his vote too
Actually, I found the cursor doens't move.... but it does scroll back to the top. Experience has taught me that if I keep typing after a quicktag, it will scroll back to the right spot, with the cursor right where I expect it.

true. I always hit [down], but still, it freaks me out.
Since this was never answered in this thread...
This dl of QT fixes that problem:
