Quicktags / Cursor

I know this has been posted before a while back, but I’ve not seen any solution.
In a long post, if I use a quicktag, the cursor then resets to the start of the text box, right at the top.
It’s no huge issue admittedly, but when inserting a series of links or tags, it gets annoying, and sometimes I resort to manually typing in the tags rather than using quicktags – which makes them redundant in longer entries.
I know I can change the textarea (I already have), but even so…
Anyone found a way to stop this cursor behaviour ?
1.2mingus, but it’s happened on previous versions too.
