hi all! i am getting frustrated with my site. i think i have 3.0 but cannot upload images or pdfs. it allows me to select browse and find my find and hit open, but then goes blank and nothing uploads.
our site is only updated periodically and i haven't had any success in uploading files since the end of december. please excuse my ignorance as i didn't set up the site, i've inherited it.
any help you can provide would be great!

Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

thanks for the reply - i haven't had any success in changing the file permissions. and, i'm not 100% sure i'm doing it correctly through the control panel?
any other recommendations?
Sorry - this is the only solution. Try asking your hosts for assistance.

not good! i did this and now have no site at all!!! 500 internal server error. please help!
