I have a page called ‘Distributors’, ideally I will have all the info somewhere on my site and the user will be able to do a geographic search by postcode to find the nearest distributor. Is their a plugin that could offer this?

Assuming postcode is a custom field, see http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-custom-fields-search/

Will this show the nearest postcodes to the one put into the search bar? Or will it only show an address if the postcode is exactly the same?

Doubt that it would do ‘nearest’.
