Your comments are also working fine for me. Have you tried emptying your browser cache?
It’s working fine on my computer but when I tried it on a computer in my school’s library it says something like “this file cannot function by itself” on the pop up window.
Yes, I’ve cleared my cache like a hundred times. I think it must be a problem on my end. Like with my browser or something. Anybody got any ideas?

My only suggestion would be, “Don’t use IE”, but I know that’s a lot to ask.

I finally tried with IE, instead of firefox, on my computer and it gave “this file cannot be used on its own.”
My suggestion would be to start over from a scratch and check in IE after every little modification.
Backup first.
That’s the thing. I haven’t modified anything involving comments. All I did was remove the forward slashes in order to get them to pop-up. So I know it isn’t anything I’ve done. Now, if I could just figure out how to fix it.
Well, did it work properly with the default index and theme?
I never tried it with the default theme. It’s just really weird. You’d think that since my pop-up won’t work for me in I.E that others websites pop-ups wouldn’t work either, but I have no problem with other’s pop-ups. The only thing I can figure is that I modifyed something that I didn’t realize comments would be using. But, what? I know I haven’t touched the comments. But, maybe I changed something indirectly related.

The only way to find out is to start from a scratch (default) and to test as you make changes. Right?
It’s gonna be fun, but, do what you have to do.
Okay, I just installed the default wordpress theme and guess what? The comments are still not working. Argh, I swear I will probably be bald by the time I figure this out because I’m just about to pull all my hair out;-) Got anymore ideas? I’m up for anything.
Backup first (especially, the modified files).
Delete all wordpress files.
Download the wordpress package from wordpress.org
Upload the wordpress and set it up to use the old database.
And we’ll go from there.
Good luck.
