  • @ruptan,

    The link in the email should contain the full URL of your site so I suspect it’s down to the way WordPress is running with Joomla.

    You could try adding the rest of the URL before the LINK keyword in the confirmation email template at Settings->Subscribe2.

    Thanks a lot MattyRob. Now i get a 404 error with page error when I click on the page link. any idea!

    @ruptan,

    Sorry, not really any ideas now. I don’t use Joomla or the Joomla WordPress hack so I have no idea how they are working.

    It is not passing the correct URL in order to process subscription requests though and it seems that when you force it to pass a better formed URL it’s actually looking for a page and not finding it.

    Play about with the URL taking bits out and changing them around but it’ll be more by good luck if you find a way that works.

    MattyRob, I’m having a similar problem with my email confirmation links. I’m working with WordPress v. 3.2.1 and Subscribe2 v. 6.5, and when my subscribers get the confirmation email, the link looks like this:

    ?code=dbc17db963da806f1c525ab3763e6830&addr=lorenzo%40newvillagepress.net&

    The website URL [newvillagepress.net] is the only clickable portion, and clicking it takes you to an error page.

    I’ve tried experimenting with inserting various combinations of the URL before {LINK} in the Subscribe2 setting page, to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what to do next?

    Specifically, if anyone knows what a working, clickable confirmation link would look like, that’d be very helpful. Thanks in advance!
