[Plugin: Shadowbox JS] Shadowbox Random Image Widget

I’m trying to use Shadowbox JS in conjunction with the Random Image Widget (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/random-image-widget/). Invoking Shadowbox works fine, except that it will not display the controls to scroll to the next or previous image in the directory.

Any idea how I would get the controls to work so that I can randomly display one image in my sidebar, but when clicked it Shadowboxes out and offers the ability to skip to the next or last image in that directory?

Oh, and yes, I have it using rel=”shadowbox[album]”. Thanks in advance for any help.
