I have spent the better part of an evening looking onine in forums, Google searches and shady old BBS services for a plug-in that can create a gallery from posts based off of tags or categories.
I will be as brief as possible with the need and application in hopes that someone can point me in the right place.
End Result: A searchable database of posts by site search field (by tags/categoreis) or through visually browsing (think cover flow from Apple, but not as fancy).
I am building a database of 1000 video game reviews geared toward parents. While the posts are easy to create and making them searchable is easy, having them in an visually appealing filtered grid or gallery based of either a featured image or URL specified image is causing me headaches.
Here is an already functional example of a site that is using something similar (although they have a budget and a custom coded site, but I use them strictly as a visual and functional example of what I am looking to accomplish):

If you see how there is the picture of the game and the title underneath (can be an overlay on my site as long as the title is visible), this is what I hope to do.
