   Plugin does not work for the latest version of WordPress. When activated it does absolutely nothing.

   I have got a similar problem:

   I activated maintenance mode and logged out. The front-end is still accessable until I change the "Access to blog front-end with capability (role)" setting from "manage_options" to "no access".

   However, I still get the message at login screen and backend that the maintenance mode is active.
