[plugin – flv embed] trouble loading embedded video

I’m having trouble getting an flv video to load using flv embed. The video file is uploaded to the uploads folder in my WordPress site, and I used the full link to the video in the flv embed tag in my post. When I go to the post the video player is visible, but when I click “play” it says “transferring data from site” in the bottom of the browser and it never loads. This should buffer and start playing right away using progressive download, correct? I’ve had the same problem with the Wordtube plugin as well. The video is not too large. It’s only abou 2.5 MB. Any thoughts on what I should try? It’s driving me crazy!
