[Plugin: Collapsible Elements] Inserted code is broken?

The code that gets inserted when I press the “XCollapse” button is as follows:

<a href="#"> REPLACE WITH LINK ELEMENT HERE... </a><br />

REPLACE WITH COLLAPSIBLE ELEMENT HERE...<br />
</>

I’m guessing that the missing tag is supposed to be “div”, but even if I insert that manually, it doesn’t actually do anything – the “collapsible” part is perfectly visible, and clicking on the link just goes back to the top of the post.
