   Is there a way to have the player expanded by default so that the title shows, etc?

   On the options panel, go to the Display tab and tick the "Disable animation" box. The player will be always be expanded and show the song title but only if you pass the title to the player as a parameter. If you rely on the file's ID3 tags, the title will only show when you start play.

   yeah, im not passing it since im having it automatically embed the player with all mp3's in posts (aka, im not using any shortcode).
