   hi i use wordpress 2.5 which allows me to rewrite my permalink when I write my posts. I use the postname type.
   but after I posted it or saved the post, I couldn't change the permalink again, which should let me edit it and save it. I dont understand why, please help me

   When you are editing the post, there should be a field where you can click on "Edit" for editing the slug. Is that there? Or is it greyed out? Or is it not there at all? Please try to be a bit more descriptive as to how it doesn't let you edit it.

   well.. I could edit the permalink field (the postname part), and then I clicked save, but after that it still shows the old link, my edit didn't get saved at all

   What did WP tell you to do after clicking Save on your permalinks? Did it tell you to manually update your .htaccess file? If so, do it! :-)
