   Hi

   I am new to worpress.org. I have just downloaded Wordprese, however am unable to proceed with the installation.

   My queastion is whether I have to have MySQL installed in my computer?

   Yes. You'll also need Apache and PHP.

   Read the requirements.

   You can also try WAMP or easyPHP. They'll install everything you need. I haven't used them myself but there are others on the forum who have.
