• Hi really new to WordPress so any help would be appreciated.

My site’s up and running and I’m usings the “raindrops” template. Was setting it up great, but now whenever you click on one of the menu items accross the top, a 404 error occurs and the message reads that no archieves can be found. At the same time, widgets or sidebar appears on the left with all this stuff that I didn’t put there.

    Help!

    Thanks

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Thanks, tried a different template, one that has only one column and that took away all the junk on the left.

But now I keep getting an “Not Found” when you click on the PHP menu. Tried deactivating all plug ins and messing around with permalinks… no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Site url?

Thanks for gettig back to me.

    It’s http://www.danielholdings.com/

However, I did seem to resolve that issue. Don’t really know how. Now having trouble with posts showing up.

    Just a rookie. I know lame…

As you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.
