I am hosted with go daddy. when I try to upload a new media image in wordpress I get this message : Error saving media attachment.
or this message if I use the browser uploader has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to D:\Hosting\5770803\html/wp-content/uploads/2011/01.
my images that i've uploaded into wordpress are being stored in go daddy but when I look at them in go daddy I see that they are in there multiple times - sometimes up to 7 different times.

Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.
