When saving new (or already existing) posts, extra lines are being added - with these tags:
<p><br class="spacer_" /></p>
Any way to avoid this? Quite annoying always getting that extra blank space.
Thanks,
Kjetil

Sounds like you need to edit 1 or more of your theme's template files and remove those lines.
Point is that they're added automatically, one or more lines of this code each time I eg. edit a post.
I believe it started after upgrading to WP 2.84 - so maybe it will vanish when I move on to 2.8.6 (which will be done soon).
Thanks
Have you tried deactivating all plugins?
Nope - might be a good idea though. Thanks for your suggestion, Esmi.
The "downside" is that the site has lots of visitors. I think I leave to see if the next WP upgrade fixes it.
Hi guys
Did you find the culprit for this? I have exactly the same problem, it all looks fine and then on saving it the editor adds space around the images usually.
The only thing that I can think of is that it started for me when I added the TINYmce advanced editor. (which I love for all its extra options).
I wonder if it is the tick box option in the (new)editor to show the <p> and <br /> ?
be nice to hear how you guys got on....
Cheers for now
Ian
