I'm having a problem with my <strike> tags on my page. Here is both ways that i've tried the code:

  2. The Wedding list

    • *<strike> Book church<\strike>
    • * Send "save the date" cards
    • * Book DJ
    • * Pick out Flowers
    • * Book Hotel
    • * Book photographer/video
    • * Pick out invitations
    • * Pick out shoes/headpieces

  3. and
  4. The Wedding list

    • *<strike> Book church
    • * Send "save the date" cards
    • * Book DJ
    • * Pick out Flowers
    • * Book Hotel
    • * Book photographer/video
    • * Pick out invitations
    • * Pick out shoes/headpieces

  5. No matter which way i do it, it strikes out EVERYTHING following the begin strike tag, ignores the end strike tag and prints it as text! What is going on?? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, I am losing my mind over this because I *KNOW* i'm doing it right, right??
PS...only the FIRST line in the list should be striken. :-)

this is just me, but I'd get rid of the strong around that ul, and make it a class or id applied to that ul itself. it's an extra unneccesary tag likewise the non-semantic <strike>, I'd make a class on the li, such as <li class="gotit">blah

using del instead worked, so thanks whoever suggested that!

I added the closing del here, so hopefully it will be fixed in this post. You are close to validation. End your img tags with a "/" and close the strong tag after "The Wedding list". REMEMBER close your tags on your blog AND here!
My grandfather had a parrot in his hardware store for some 50 years. Every time a patron came in and left the door open he would mutter, "Goddammit, I feel a draft" and shout, "SHUT THE DOOR!"
