   I have just installed several WordPress and when i write an article it will show the whole article on the index. i would like the article only to show the first paragraph and the rest on a link to another page. Your help will be very much appreciated.

   Dont't double, triple post - and don't be impatient.
   While waiting for the answer you can do a search for your question, you could visit the online manual of WP > Codex.

   While reading through the codex articles, have a look at the information on "the_excerpt()". It might be useful to you: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_excerpt
