Fatal Error

Hi,

I just downloaded a plugin and it’s come up with this message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_rtl() in /homepages/37/d372310960/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/hupso-share-buttons-for-twitter-facebook-google/share-buttons-hupso.php on line 530

I don’t really know what to do. I uploaded my wordpress via 1and1, so I’m not sure how I can access the plugins folder from that. It doesn’t seem to be anywhere. Will it sort itself out?

are you using the latest WordPress version?

for how to access the plugins folder, you might need to contact your hoster for support.

Thanks for the reply,

I’m using the latest version. I’ve managed to get to the files by transferring them over to my filezilla account. Now I’m not really sure whether I should delete the plugin file and reinstall it by doing what it says on this article- http://www.famousbloggers.net/getting-ready-for-wordprss-3-3-solve-fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-is_rtl.html or just wait it out and see if it’s a temporary problem with the new wordpress.

hi
already did deleting the file and etc. ..

but it returns the same error as the article says,

First let me not get into my control panel and then delete it by uploading volve FileZilla now I can go ami admin but the error did not change anything still there

What does your error message actually say? Like copy and paste what it comes up with when you put in your URL.

does this suggest that the sharing plugin is faulty?

on first impression, yes;

you could start a topic in the plugin’s support section ( http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/hupso-share-buttons-for-twitter-facebook-google – scroll down for the form)

however, I uploaded and activated the plugin without getting the error message (wp3.5, local xammp test setup).

it might be a interference with other plugins;
try to deactivate all plugins, then re-install and activate the sharing plugin to see if the error still occurs.
