There still seems to be an endless loop with sidebar login. I've had to resort to using the old "Meta" widget for now. Too bad, I loved this plugin.
I'm not a programmer so I'm not sure how to help other than by saying I have cleared caches on my server and computer, but this error happens from several different computers using several different browsers so I don't think it's a cache issue.
I type in a username then password and when I hit enter (or click login) I am returned to entering a username and password. Sidebar login simply will not pass the uname and pword to wordpress or else is just stuck in a loop somewhere.

Oh, and Yes I did resave settings and tried other suggestions in other related conversations, and this issue only began after I updated to 3.2.1 (wordpress version). I did the updates for sidebar-login, but none of the updates worked. I have not changed my site at all except for the overall wordpress update so I doubt very much that it is a css issue as suggested in one of the other conversations.
Where are you redirecting it to in the settings?

Since your problem is solved and Mine is not I Figured I post here for a fix Hope you don't mind.
@Mike
I love the Plugin Widget. I'm having the same problem
If I log in and hit the enter it loads the front page again and shows I'm not logged it. But if I go to another page on the site the dashboard, log out and my avatar shows.
Here is my setup in the config:
Logged out heading - Login
Logged in heading - Welcome %username%
Login redirect - http://nli.arrl.org/
Logout redirect - http://nli.arrl.org/
Show Register Link - Checked
Show Lost Password Link - Checked
Show Logged in Avatar - Checked
Logged in links - <a href="http://nli.arrl.org/wp-admin/">Dashboard</a>|true
and
<a href="http://nli.arrl.org/wp-admin/profile.php">Profile</a>
thanks

Hi Mike,
I've been running into this error for a bit now (I'm using WordPress 3.2.1). It's one reason by I've stayed with 2.2.15, but now it's being impacted as well. I was able to confirm that it appears to happen ONLY on the home page, which is really strange. On posts, etc. it appears to work fine.
I would appreciate any help with this - thanks!
Its seem Mike's around Must be on vacation.
