  • Is this Google Analytics? There are plenty of plugins that will do that. If not you will have to add the code to the header.php or footer.php file in your theme.

    Peter,
Thanks for such a quick reply for assistance.
My confusion is…HOW do I add the code to the header.php or footer.php? I’m NEW @ this. Do I edit the “THEME template?

    Bob

What code are you trying to embed?

    It’s a widget code.

You might need to add that to the functions.php file in your theme.

Widgets are often installed by a theme or a plugin, have you contacted the author?

    Peter,
    Again, THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

That’s my question: HOW DO I add the code in my theme?

    Bob

You can edit the theme using the Appearance/Editor item in the Admin, or using FTP. Be sure to back up your site before trying this.

I don’t recommend editing a theme directly on a production site. You should have a development site where you can try these things out and then copy the code to production using FTP.

    Will Do!
Again, thanks for your time in responding so soon.
