I am just starting out with WordPress and am trying to modify the mush-blue template to dynamically resize to the width of the browser. Can anyone help me to achieve this effect using css.

I have tried replicating the table method within wordpress, however wordpress doesn't seem to allow table background images as none of my images appear when I use this within my wordpress installation.

    mfields,

Thanks so much for your response. I've been playing around with the code you posted and have it working as expected. My next question is how would you go about having the tagline shown just beneath the title as well?

Here is the live blog that that I am attempting to get to work properly: website

And here is a snippet of the code I'm using: pastebin

I would use a <span> tag to wrap the headline and put it in the header <div>
