Hello!
Is it possible to activate/deactivate plugins to affect particular user accounts?
e.g. i have an author on my blog who i want to use only a few plugins, but not all that administrator uses...

Plugins, by their nature, are not 'user' specific so don't think you are going to be able to do that.
