Cookie-Enabled Show/Hide Plugin?

I’m trying to find a plugin that will let me toggle the visibility of an element on the blog I’m designing. I am currently using this: http://www.jenst.se/2008/01/31/wp-showhide-elements

But it’s a bit limited for what I want it to do. I’d like users to be able to hid the element in question and have it stay hidden until I change the contents of that element, in which case it will show again.

Anyone know of a plugin that will give me this functionality?
