Commenter having issues (4 posts)

I'm terribly sorry to bother, but I've been getting e-mails from visitors who are unable to leave comments.

    My site address is: http://rmgilbert.com

The thing is some comments are coming in fine. I'm not sure where the issue is, but one commenter said she's getting this: 401 or 402, with a" no entry/ you have no right to access/use this blog. message.

I'd appreciate any help you could give.

Have you blocked an ip addresses in Settings/Discussion?

I checked and don't have any blocked ip addresses. At least it's not showing any.

Another commenter e-mailed me today and said it told her she's restricted.

It's odd, because some people are allowed to comment and others are not.

I'd appreciate any further thoughts you may have on this.

    Thanks so much.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
