• Hi chaps,

    I’m looking to use WP 2.7 for our company site. We have the design skills (well, some might say) and the php skills, but so far we have only used WP for blog tools, not for whole sites with traditional menu layouts. We have a question about how best to mod the menu structure to create what we need.

    What we are after is a sidenav structure like this;

    Services
    – Service 1
    – Service 2
    – Service 3
    Products
    – Products 1
    – Products 2
    – Products 3
    – Products 4

    etc

    What we are thinking of doing is creating a category for each of the top level navs (services, products, about, etc) and create posts for each individual service and product with a category of ‘service’ or ‘product’.

    The top level nav would then be pages with fixed content.

    Is this workable do you think? From what I can see it should be fairly easy to create a small template for the sidebar which contains the top level pages (hard coded though alas) and under each one a WP tag pulls out and displays all the pages in the same category.

    Anyone got any comments ?

    Olly
