Client-Side Uploading

I’ve got a portfolio site going in WP and wonder if there is a kind of break-off section I could make where clients can upload files to me (I deal with large files and email becomes a bit of a bottleneck).

The uploader utility in the backend is very nice and simple. How cool would it be for a client to use it as well, just not as an author to my actual site.
