Clean Up Multisite Database? (5 posts)

I'm trying to clean up a multisite database, and I'm wondering if there's a quick/easy way to tell what tables a plugin creates, OR when looking at the database, what plugin created a table or tables?

I'm fairly certain that old plugins and/or plugins from sites that were imported via BackupBuddy, have brought in a lot of tables and garbage that aren't needed any longer. However, I'm blanking out on any good way to figure out which are tied to which plugin, etc. Any ideas/help appreciated.

Maybe posting the tables you have in your database and your plugins, somebody ( i.e. me ;-) ) could be able to help you since looks like a very specific trouble.

  3. There isn't a good way :/ I usually google them.

I'm in the process of looking at this. I removed 6 sites and the tables are still in Mysql.
Below are the tables. Tables for sites 7,10,11,12,13,18 are no longer needed.

I also have the folders created under blogs.dir for the sites deleted.

Can I just delete the Mysql tables for the sites and the directories in blogs.dir.

I also have my own server so if I mess up I can restore the WHM backup made last nite (and that backup restre has been tested) My wordpress multisite is built on http://www.vashonguide.com

Actually it is deletin' the accounts but the stats plugin account info is still there.

So I deleted them, things running great. And I read Mika's wordpress 101 and 110, very good reading.

The wordpress install for http://www.vashonguide.com is a closed registration group of sites more for the marketing of my local community Vashon Island. I have 5 multi site installs 1 folders and the other 4 sub domain. All work great.
