    Hi all,

I did a search on the forum before I posted and I didn't find any post that had the information I was looking for. I am hoping someone can provide some help. I have been frustrated with WP for the month or so and I am about to give and up and find a different solution.

None of the changes that I make (text, images, etc...) seem to appear for me. Using IE or Firefox, F5 or ctl F5 NOTHING WORKS! Sometime a PC reboot SEEMS to work, but if I make a new change, NOTHING!!!! ARGRGG

I tried to deactivate the wp-cache plug-in, NOTHING! I tried deleting the plug-in but when I do that it ends up killing my WP site, which I then have to deactivate and re-activate the whole WP again (uninstall and reinstall on Yahoo). I've have to do that at least 4 times.

Its currently hosted on Yahoo (maybe that's the problem?). I originally activated my WP blog last year and got it up and running rather smoothly with no real issues. Any changes (text, images etc) that I would make to WP, would show up right away. Great!

Rewind to last month, when I decided to start working on it again and update it. Logged in to my WP account, saw there was any update to go to 3.1.3 so I did it. I didn't update any the plug-ins at first but I couldn't see any changes I made. Even switching themes wouldn't work. Updates plug-ins, NOTHING.

What gives? I read Yahoo doesn't play nice with WP, true? I like WP and would like to use it, but I am ready to give up...

    Help!

    Thanks in advnaced

Check the documentation for removing the wp-cache plugin.

    Thank you very much.

Your short and sweet answer lead me to this:

I removed WP-Cache and now WordPress does not work

This occurs because WordPress still tries to run advanced-cache.php. Remove or comment out the following line to you wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_CACHE', true)

Did that simple comment out on and things seem to be working great now.

    Thank you again.

No problem. When using any caching plugin, always check the documentation before deactivating or removing it as you may have take some extra steps. And every one of the caching plugins has a different un-install procedure - which is why I couldn't give you the solution for yours. Glad to hear that you managed to sort it out.
