Bad Behaviour Plugin – blocking normal users?

In the past few days, my comment spam went up from 20 to 800 potential comments spams a day – clearly my blog’s name is on some kind of comment spamming botnet, which is irritating, but not the problem.

Obviously I had Akismet in place, which was blocking all of these comments, but I am most concerned about the damage it is doing to my traffic statistics – how can I tell who normal users are and who these botnets are?

I installed a plugin called Bad Behaviour, which tells me it has blocked 750+ attempts to add comment spam today only. What I want to know is whether BB will block any of my regular users from accessing the blog. If it helps, my blog is thephonelounge.com … thanks.
