Another Custom Fields Problem

Hello,
I have spent the last few days going through what I could find about displaying custom fields and I haven’t come across the solution yet so hopefully someone here can help me.

I started a blog about theater reviews and in the custom fields I added the director, actors, etc each one properly labeled. What I want to do is add pages where people can then browse posts by the director’s name so I would have a page that groups all the directors custom fields together (so there would be no duplicates in the list) and then have their names link to posts that have their name as a custom field, if that makes any sense.

If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
