Admin groups?

Hi

What do you think: is wordpress is a good choise for my goal?
I would like to make a website with a few categories of articles and I need to be able declare admin/editor rights to these categories separately. I also would like to be able to search separately in the categories.

I made a few wp-blogs but they have only one admin person.
