what if you uncheck the third box, the one about needing a minimum comment count, and than try the first tickbox? Ive always read them as being contradictory anyway — if you are moderating every comment, than whats the third tickbox do?
Thanks for the reply. I actually tried multiple combinations of ticked/unticked boxes (just to experiment) and always got the same error.
Finally I gave up and reinstalled WordPress with a new database.
It’s working like a charm, now! 🙂

Hi there!
I’ve run into a problem when trying to select the ‘An administrator must always approve the comment’ option under Settings > Discussion.

If I try to check the box, I get the error ‘Your attempt to edit your settings has failed.’

I have no plug-ins enabled and am running the Default theme on WordPress 2.5.1
This is a new (one week old) installation of WordPress with only one test post.
Any help would be much appreciated!
