I was busy in dasboard on another of my sites and added a nice social media plugin. When I came to add it to another site I found no "Add Plugin" button. No matter how I have looked there is no way for to add more plugins even though I have no active plugins at the moment and only 3 inactive

Is this a multi-site install? If so, you'd need to go to the Network Admin to install the plugins.

Hi Thanks for the response. I went into network admin, and sure enough the add plugins button was there, multi-site is enabled. I installed the plugin I wanted, then went back to my main domain, but still no,luck. I have logged out and back in again and re-checked. But no added plugin

    Best guess

You need to enable the Plugins page for individual site administrators from the Network Admin's Settings -> Network Settings menu.

I am a newbie and i must be really dumb. I cannot find a "Network Settings" menu where there is anything I can do to add the missing functions to the Plugins menu. On all sub-domains the plugins menu is complete but not on my main domain, the edit & add tabs are missing

    Try this: http://YOURDOMAINHERE/wp-admin/network/

Or in the upper right where it says 'Howdy, Username', that dropdown should have a Network Admin option

Thnks so much for your help. I still don't get an 'Add Plugins' button but I can now add a plugins by the mean that you suggested so I am satisfied with that. I don't often add plugins so it's no real hassle once in a while
    Thanks Again
    Kind Regards

Keep this in mind for Multi Blog Admin panel

    1) main domain/wp-admin here you could install plugin for main blog, root domain, and assign plug weather to be available for all blog or only for main blog.

Update network if you made any change or update your account status

    2)main domain/wp-admin/network/

    Check your profile authorization.
