   Hey, im looking for a way, how to shorten my links for example, i have something like this:

   http://www.google.de/search?hl=de&q=wordpress+rocks&btnG=Google-Suche&meta=

   is it possible to just shorten it to:

   http://www.google.de/

   ?

   in comments or posts? Ive written wp-chunk which handles links inside comments. If youre patient, I might look at fixing it up to do the same thing with links within posts.

   :) yah, i love my trance!

   The trouble I see with doing all of that is the risk of issues with other plugins. Some people use recent comment plugins, for instance.. that display excerpts of actual comments. If that excerpt contained a link, it may or may not be shortened. Post content (including pages) and comment content is simple, stuff that might be otherwise dependant on another plugin for display presents a whole nother issue.
